Welcome to Lexview

Lexview is a loose network of legal, academic and policy professionals seeking to explore the challenges posed to the “first freedoms” protected by various constitutions, charters, and human rights instruments.

These first freedoms include: freedom of speech, assembly, and association, freedom of religion and rights of conscience, the inviolability of the person, rights of privacy and security, property rights, freedom to dissent from the policies of governments, large corporations, and globalist organizations, freedom from imprisonment without due process of law, from termination of employment or suspension of rights of mobility or worship without just cause, and from medical policies and human subject experimentation that violate informed consent and/or rights of conscience.

Our primary focus to date has been organizing workshops hosted at the biannual International Association for the Philosophy of Law and Social Philosophy (IVR) conference, with a follow-up publication of the papers presented. This website provides a convenient gathering of the resources we have worked on into a single space, inviting those interested in joining our network to become involved in this work.

If that’s you, don’t hesitate to introduce yourself through an email to lexview.info@gmail.com, and we would be happy to follow up.

What We Do

The Lexview network has organized workshops and working groups at conferences, including the bi-annual International Association for the Philosophy of Law and Social Philosophy (IVR) conferences since 2017. Much of the material presented at these events has been compiled and published within various legal resources available through external publishers.

The composition of this network has varied based on availability and current projects.  Most of the editing work has been facilitated by Dr. Angus Menage, professor of philosophy at Concordia University in Wisconsin, while logistics and organization support have been facilitated by Ray Pennings, co-founder and Executive Vice-President of Cardus.
